The Transatlanticist | Call for Submissions
Do you consider yourself a Europe expert? Do you see yourself as the next Mehdi Hasan or Christiane Amanpour? Are you looking for an opportunity to flex your journalistic muscles? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you.
Georgetown School of Foreign Service, as part of the European Horizons initiative, is launching its own blog on all things European, The Transatlanticist, and we are looking for contributions from current Georgetown graduate students and undergraduate seniors.
The blog will publish peer-reviewed Op-Eds and analytical pieces, and interviews that provide detailed commentary and insight on current European and transatlantic issues.
Submissions should be between 800 and 1000 words on any topic related to Europe. Send first drafts by January 6, 2020, ready for the launch of the blog in the second half of January. You can find more detailed information on submission guidelines here. Send submissions to Alexander Peter and Benedicta Solf at europeanhorizonsblog@gmail.com.
Alternatively, if you would like to write for us as a regular contributor, and produce at least 1 blog post per month next semester, please email us with 3 short article pitches, each of 50–100 words, outlining some topics you would like to cover. To write for us a regular contributor, please send pitches by December 31, so we can work with you to finalize your pieces leading up to publication.
